I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. After watching the preview several times in iTunes. I wanted to see this movie but was concerned that it would follow the pattern of most comedies where you've already seen all the funny parts before you see the movie. I trend that ruins the experience. And while the trailer's parts were lessened slightly because of frequent viewing there is a huge gutbuster waiting for you. I even backed up the movie to watch the scene again to laugh again. Spot on performances by the entire cast. Directed by Frank Oz.

Consolers of the Lonely

I remember reading reviewers commenting on what Jack White could do if he would add some members to the White Stripes. After hearing the Raconteurs first album I remember thinking this could have been 5 shamrock EP but was a 3.5 shamrock album. And where other reviewers moaned that jack should stay out front and lead the group, I think the Raconteurs have now coalesced into what is an amazing group. Listen to the drums on Switch and Spur and see what I mean. They're used not just as a tool to keep the beat but they come out and emphasize without it being a solo. This is a definite buy.

After driving by this place every day. My wife and I thought we'd try it for dinner on the weekend. We walked in without reservations. The restaurant was dead empty except for staff. We were told they were booked solid. I looked around around at the empty space and and gestured with an open arm and said Really there isn't an opening? I glanced down at the book and saw that 5pm -6pm was empty. I took note of my clothing. dress shoes, button up collared shirt wool jacket. I had put on deodorant that day. The hostess was bitchy and the decor was a half finished or failed attempt to be something trendy. Our waitress, however, was ebullient and quick. The flavor of our food was excellent however portion size was lacking. I ordered ravioli and received 6 pieces on my plate. Dessert was fantastic. Too bad we had to start off with such a poor personality for our first impression of the place....

I thought this movie was incredible. Nice constant build of paranoia and intensity and the tough decisions that the crew faced saving themselves versus saving the human race. Some small nods to 2001 and perhaps a touch of aliens. The sets were admirably crafted and I loved the fact that Cillian Murphy's character who even though seemed to be ruled by logic still knew that others need some kind of emotional response from him. Like the video casts sent to his parents before he sets off the bomb. And the constant sacrificing of human life for the greater good. It reminds me that despite everything else that goes on. Crow meets the Joker. Nolan has done a decent job of bringing this franchise back from dead. I'm curious to see how Ledger can pull off a character immortalized by Nicholson.

I must say that Jessica over at www.slaughterhead.com did me an awesome solid. Just got one of their bags with coin pouch for my wife before Christmas and it is amazing. The craftsmanship is first rate and I hope she likes it. They have a partnership with Supermaggie.com who is also incredible. Both had good communication and the product I received from them was perfect.

I love this concept. Even though you could manage these as folders and riffle through them with a mouse here's a great idea for a central storage area that if say those pieces were 4-8 Gb each would be a great way of keeping those thumb drives organized.
